Commercial Fishing and Tourism Contracts

 

Guiding services, commercial fishing, tourism operations, and any other for-hire activity must have a Concessionaire contract with TAFB, and all occupants of any vessel must have a Recreation Permit (except those under 16-years-old) to launch any craft from TAFB property.  For Concessionaire contracts, contact Natural Resources at udg_325ces_recreation@us.af.mil. 

 

 

Tyndall AFB Maritime Restricted Area Adjustment

Tyndall Air Force Base has lifted the maritime restricted area previously activated on March 27, 2026.
The 500-foot restriction zone from the shoreline is no longer in effect, and vessels may now approach up to the high mean tide line, which marks the installation's boundary.

However, the following bayous are restricted to all vessel access: Smack Bayou, Sheephead Bayou, Freshwater Bayou, Pearl Bayou, Fred Bayou, Little Cedar Bayou, and Chatterson Bayou.
